From their March 2012 press release:
This spring, Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry is pleased to introduce three brand new additions to our line of 104 standard colors. These are just the first of 35 inspiring new shades of paint, glaze, or stain that Plain & Fancy will be releasing through 2012. We also continue to offer our unrivalled custom color matching service.
The three new enamel paints—warm and subtle variations on gray we’ve named Vista Gray, Graystone, and Java—are intended as foundation colors, neutral but characterful tones that can be used to create an overall mood of calm, confident serenity.
People increasingly want their kitchens to be places of friendly welcome and comforting security, feelings that the new colors are designed to engender. They can be used successfully on their own, creating a seamless background against which stainless-steel appliances, chrome faucets, rich stone countertops, and gleaming tile backsplashes take on vivid life, just as foundation make-up allows lipstick, eye shadow, and blush to make their full impact on a woman’s face.
These soft yet substantial enamel paints can also be used in juxtaposition with other colors and finishes, on a kitchen island, for example, or limited to under-counter cabinets with the remaining
cabinetry painted vivid white or stained in one of Plain & Fancy’s distinctive wood tones. We have found that these fresh combinations add modern flair to any style kitchen without losing a sense of casual comfort.
