Lakeville has just instituted a Door Style of the Month on its Facebook page! Each style will be featured in a chosen finish, and will also be paired with a coordinating top for design inspiration.

Lakeville Kitchen and Bath – August Door Style of the Month
Congratulations to Medallion Cabinetry on receiving the 2012 Best of Remodeling award from Houzz, “the leading online platform for residential remodeling and design”. They garnered high customer satisfaction ratings in a survey of over 1.2 million consumers!
Great work Medallion!
We received a call today from Sara, a customer from Islip Terrace, commenting how happy she is with her Lakeville cabinets and how she would never consider replacing them. A lovely sentiment…especially since the cabinets are from 1962!
Even though everyone else in her development has remodeled their kitchen, she remains incredibly pleased with her original Lakeville cabinets — and tells us to keep up the great work. We wish you well, Sara, and thank you for sharing your story!
From their March 2012 press release:
This spring, Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry is pleased to introduce three brand new additions to our line of 104 standard colors. These are just the first of 35 inspiring new shades of paint, glaze, or stain that Plain & Fancy will be releasing through 2012. We also continue to offer our unrivalled custom color matching service.
The three new enamel paints—warm and subtle variations on gray we’ve named Vista Gray, Graystone, and Java—are intended as foundation colors, neutral but characterful tones that can be used to create an overall mood of calm, confident serenity.
People increasingly want their kitchens to be places of friendly welcome and comforting security, feelings that the new colors are designed to engender. They can be used successfully on their own, creating a seamless background against which stainless-steel appliances, chrome faucets, rich stone countertops, and gleaming tile backsplashes take on vivid life, just as foundation make-up allows lipstick, eye shadow, and blush to make their full impact on a woman’s face.
These soft yet substantial enamel paints can also be used in juxtaposition with other colors and finishes, on a kitchen island, for example, or limited to under-counter cabinets with the remaining
cabinetry painted vivid white or stained in one of Plain & Fancy’s distinctive wood tones. We have found that these fresh combinations add modern flair to any style kitchen without losing a sense of casual comfort.
Be sure to check out the Plain & Fancy selections at Lakeville Kitchen & Bath, both in Lindenhurst and Smithtown!
It is with great sadness that Lakeville announces the passing of Jim Pallilo on March 1, 2012. Jim was employed with Lakeville for over 35 years as a sales designer of kitchen and bath cabinetry, retiring just a few short years ago. Jim always conducted himself with the highest integrity and was devoted to his clients. He was very much a part of our Lakeville family, sharing many wonderful and happy occasions with his colleagues and friends.
All of us at Lakeville extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Ann; son, Charles; and daughter, Karen. Jim will be missed. May his memory always be of blessing.
Congratulations to Danny Weisz! His “casually elegant” kitchen design using Plain & Fancy Cabinetry was featured in the Jan/Feb 2012 issue of HOUSE Magazine.

Stunning Kitchen by Lakeville Kitchen & Bath
Beautiful Crystal Cabinets at prices designed to move!
One of the freshest ideas in home remodeling is…the Murphy bed. I know, at first you might think it sounds odd, but think again – this hundred-year-old wall bed is having quite the renaissance!
First introduced in 1900, Murphy beds have undergone a radical transformation. Furniture-grade facades and a greater variety of sizes replace the strictly ultiliarian designs of yesteryear, making this an easy and polished was to fix a space crunch.
Crystal Cabinets has added Murphy beds to their catalog, available with the same quality styling and beautiful finishes that make them a leader in their field. Visit Lakeville’s Crystal page to learn more about what they offer.

Lakeville Kitchen and Bath was delighted to attend a workshop given by Crystal Cabinet Works. “Crystal Clear Design”, presented by Steve Westlund, helped us delve deeper into the catalog and appreciate the endless design ideas offered by their diverse product. Thanks again to Crystal Cabinets for an interesting and informative afternoon!
