Lakeville Launches Bigger Showroom
By any estimates, Lakeville Industries has created one of the largest kitchen and bath showrooms on Long Island. Some 400 guests attended the opening of the enlarged showroom at Lindenhurst in early June (2005) and were treated to suites of kitchens and baths that were aimed at a sophisticated market. “We are suppliers to the trade,” emphasized Richard Sirlin, the CEO of Lakeville, “but if anyone walks in here we refer them to a qualified contractor.”
Sirlin and his brother, Sandy, took over from their father, Al, years ago and over the last 16 months they have been working on enlarging the showroom to 10,000 square feet, a dramatic increase.
The audience Lakeville is targeting is largely the “high-end to middle market.
“We spent a lot of money on the showroom and we’re happy it turned out first rate,” said Richard.

Lakeville Industries in Lindenhurst recently its new one-of-a-kind kitchen and bathroom trade showroom, the only showcase in the nation to feature kitchen and bathroom designs exclusively. What can only be compared to the D&D building in Manhattan, the Lakeville showcase offers contractors & builders, designers, architects, as well as consumers and homeowners, an unparalleled view of the latest trends in kitchen and bath design.
The showcase displays more than 50 kitchens and 25 bathroom vanities from five leading domestic manufacturers. There are rooms exclusively for cabinet samples, decorative hardware and countertop materials. The showroom displays more high-end appliances than the typical appliance store. The showcase also features rooms where guests can relax or discuss designs with Lakeville professionals.
“What we learned catering to the architect, designer, decorator and builder/contractor markets over the years has enabled us to provide superior kitchen and bath expertise and service to the consumer,” said Richard Sirlin, president and CEO of Lakeville Industries. “We coordinate all activities with the consumer’s contactor, builder, architect and/or interior designer – from measurements, to installations, specifications and project scheduling.”
The staff at Lakeville Industries designed all displays after reviewing each one with the respective manufacturers’ representative. Lakeville designers have an average of 16 years experience in creating kitchens and bathrooms, and offer consumers unsurpassed advice on how to design their dream kitchens and bathrooms.
In addition to the exemplary services provided by Lakeville design professionals, visitors will benefit from a unique physical space featuring technology of plasma screens with special manufacturer video loops about their products. And as visitors stroll through the winding showcase they are bathed in magnificent lighting that accentuates each display.
“The feedback we received at the opening was fabulous,” said Sirlin. “Industry insiders and consumers alike commented on the amazing expanse of the showcase and being floored by the range of products on display.”
The showroom viewing is by invitation only. Consumers need to be referred by an industry professional (e.g. Contractor, Builder, Architect, Designer) in order to attend.
