Sinks and faucets are key elements of any kitchen.  There are so many
combinations that you may be wondering which is best for you.  Here
we have explained 5 sink styles and 5 types of faucets to help you figure
out which best fits your lifestyle needs and style preferences.
Picture
Single Bowl Sink
These sinks are simple and on the smaller side
which is beneficial especially if you need to maximize
your counter space.  If you are not planning on
using your sink for cooking and cleaning at the
same time, then this is a great option.

Picture
Double Bowl Sink
Double bowl sinks consist of two bowls.
These are perfect if you tend to clean dishes and
cook simultaneously.  There are many options
available to you for this style of sink. You can have
equally sized bowls or bowls of unequal size and
depth depending on you kitchen needs.

Picture
Undermount Sink
Undermount sinks have no rim because they are
installed underneath the countertop.  Although they are
more expensive than top mount sinks, they are visually
appealing because they are flush with the countertop.
Also, having no lip will help keep everything more clean.

Picture
Top Mount Sink
Top mount sinks are easier to install than undermount
sinks, which makes them more cost effective.  These
sinks also have a rim that lays on top of the countertop.

Picture
Farmhouse Sink
These sinks tend to be deeper than other
varieties.  The front of these sinks are exposed,
so these are perfect if you want to use your sink
as a statement piece in your kitchen.  These sinks
are available as both undermount and top mount.

Picture
Single Handle Faucet
These faucets consist of one handle that is used
for both warm and cool water.  You can move the
handle from one side to the other in order to get
the perfect temperature that you are looking for.

Picture
Pull Down Faucet
Pull down faucets allow for more spray head options
than pull out faucets.  This faucet is great if you
have enough space above your sink for it to fit.

Picture
Pull Out Faucet
Pull out faucets are ideal if you have a double bowl
sink because they are more flexible.  They are also
not as tall as pull down faucets, so if you lack room
above your sink this could be the more realistic option.

Picture
Dual Handle Faucet
Unlike single handle faucets, these faucets have two handles.  The one
that controls the hot water is separate from one that controls cold water.  These faucets can be used in kitchens, but are typically found in bathrooms.

Touch-On Touch-Off Faucet
With a simple tap on the faucet the water will turn on
and off.  This could be especially helpful for busy cooks
who don’t want to get their faucet dirty with their hands.
